A splendid tarantula. Forget the yikes -- these guys are pretty harmless, tho those hairs can stick into you like a cholla if you pick one up. The best time for tarantulas is during the monsoon when the gents all go out looking for ladies; we used to see them promanading up and down the the White Spar. used to
